Family-owned in Somerset, Kentucky since 2019
We’re Reimagines, and we’re here to help you bring ideas to life with unique designs, innovative technology and high-quality products.
Reimagines is a family-owned and operated business in Somerset, Kentucky. It started in 2019, when I was a teacher, and today it’s a studio that designs and prints reusable whiteboard clings and classroom visuals for teachers.
How we got here
2019: A Cricut and a roll of black vinyl
My mom, a middle school special education teacher, wanted custom decor for her classroom. I borrowed her Cricut so we could learn to cut vinyl together, and we made personalized decals at my kitchen table.
Other teachers asked for their own
Teachers saw her room and wanted pieces for theirs, so I started selling on Etsy. That’s when I learned how much teachers love personalization, and how much every classroom needs something a little different.
Nights and weekends
I taught business for five years, first in high school and then in middle school. For two years I ran Reimagines on nights and weekends, with my first son still a baby. We quickly needed more space and moved into our office in downtown Somerset.
Professional equipment
Our Roland VG2-540 came first and opened the door to full-color prints and new materials. Black vinyl decals grew into full-color decals, banners, wall fabric and static clings. A Roland LEF2-300D UV printer followed, so we can print directly onto notebooks, lunch boxes, accessories, giftware and more.
Discovering static cling
Along the way I saw that teachers weren’t getting the most out of their whiteboard space. Static cling holds with no adhesive, works on non-magnetic boards, and can be moved, stored and reused, so teachers can build a custom command center that changes with their day.
Today
Reimagines is a full-time family business. Our studio runs a Roland VG3-540, a Roland XG-640 and our LEF2-300D. Every order is designed, printed and packed here in our Somerset studio, and the office has a playroom so my four boys have a place to play when they’re with me. My mom and her teacher friends are still my first testers.
Made for teachers
Most shops that run this kind of commercial print equipment make signs. We use it for teachers. Our ideas come from inside the classroom, so they’re built to solve the small, everyday problems that take up your time. My job is to make the things you wish you had, and to make them well.
