Static cling 101

New to static cling?

Static cling is a durable, flexible material that holds to whiteboards, glass, windows, and acrylic without any adhesive. Here's what teachers ask most:

Not a sticker

No glue or adhesive. It holds to smooth surfaces on its own.

Removable

Peels off in seconds and leaves no residue behind.

Reusable and durable

Designed and printed in-house by our family business on professional equipment with high-quality inks and materials. Made to reuse year after year.

Customizable

Many designs come in your choice of colors and fonts, and I take custom requests.

In the box

What's included

  • One personalized cling per cart item. Add as many as your board needs.
  • Your style: a Subject Header Cling (tall) to label a subject or class, such as Math, Reading, or Science, or a Subheader Cling (short) for sections like Agenda, Bellringer, Vocabulary, or program names like IXL or Fundations. Header clings are 3" tall and subheader clings are 1.7" tall.
  • Your size: 8", 10", 14", or 18" wide.
  • Your look: any text, a colored background or text only, nine Bright Minds colors (bright poppy, bubblegum pink, sunset peach, sunshine yellow, meadow green, fresh picked, periwinkle pop, sweet lavender, and bright skies), 34 fonts, and black, white, or coordinating text.

The teacher hack

Why teachers love it

  • Color-codes your board. Match a header and its subheaders so students can follow along at a glance.
  • Changes with your units. Swap subheaders as topics change. Nothing to rewrite.
  • Ready the day it arrives. No designing, printing, laminating, cutting, or magnets.
  • Works on any whiteboard. Holds to non-magnetic boards, glass, windows, and acrylic.

In your classroom

How to use it

  • Build an elementary whiteboard command center with a header for each subject and a Learning Targets subheader underneath.
  • Label class periods or sections in middle and high school, then swap subheaders as units change.
  • Pair with Bright Minds Reusable Whiteboard Cling Dividers to section your board into a clean grid.

Peel, cling, teach

How it works

1

Clean. Start with a clean, dust-free whiteboard.

2

Peel and cling. Peel the cling off its backing and place it on your board. Reposition it anytime.

3

Store. Put it back on its backing paper or Binder Ready sheet until the next unit.

Ordering notes

Each label is its own cling. Choose your style, size, background, color, font, and text color, enter your text, then tap Save and start another. Your choices stay selected, so you only change what’s different for the next one. When your list is ready, add every cling to your cart at once. Use the same color for a Subject Header and the Subheaders under it for a seamless, color-coded system. Need more colors? Classroom Subject Clings come in 64 colors.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Will it stick to my whiteboard?

Yes. Static cling holds to whiteboards with no adhesive. For the best hold, make sure your board is clean and dust-free. Dust, dirt, and oil can keep a cling from sticking, and some greasy whiteboard cleaners leave a residue that does the same. If needed, clean your board with a mix of vinegar and water to break down the oil. If a cling loses its grip over time, rinse the back with water and apply it again.

Does it work on non-magnetic boards or glass?

Yes. Reimagines clings were originally designed for non-magnetic whiteboards. My mom didn't have a magnetic whiteboard when I started the business, and her classroom was my inspiration. Clings also hold to glass, windows, and acrylic.

Can I write on it with a dry-erase marker?

Please don't. Markers can remove the printed ink on a cling. Many of our designs are made so you can write underneath or next to them instead.

Will it leave residue on my board?

No. There's no adhesive, so nothing is left behind. Your board is just as clean when you remove the cling as it was when you applied it.

How do I store my clings?

Store your clings on the backing paper they ship on.

Can I get a custom design or color match?

Yes. I design and print every product myself. Email elizabeth@reimagines.com with custom design requests or color matching.
