Static cling 101

New to static cling?

Static cling is a durable, flexible material that holds to whiteboards, glass, windows, and acrylic without any adhesive. Here's what teachers ask most:

Not a sticker

No glue or adhesive. It holds to smooth surfaces on its own.

Removable

Peels off in seconds and leaves no residue behind.

Reusable and durable

Designed and printed in-house by our family business on professional equipment with high-quality inks and materials. Made to reuse year after year.

Customizable

Many designs come in your choice of colors and fonts, and I take custom requests.

In the box

What's included

  • One "Today is" cling, printed at the same text size as your Mini Calendar set. Size varies by font, about 4" wide and 2" tall.
  • Your look: a mix of Retro Brights colors or a single color (pink, orange, yellow, green, dark blue, and ocean blue), in any of 34 fonts.

The teacher hack

Why teachers love it

  • Completes the look. Turns a row of date clings into a finished display.
  • Builds a routine. Students read the full date aloud each morning.
  • Works on any whiteboard. Holds to non-magnetic boards, glass, windows, and acrylic.
  • Ready the day it arrives. No designing, printing, laminating, cutting, or magnets.

In your classroom

How to use it

  • Place it above your mini calendar at the top of your board.
  • Use it for morning meeting and to model writing the date in student headings.

How it works

2

Peel and cling. Peel the cling off its backing and place it on your board. Reposition it anytime.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Will it stick to my whiteboard?

Yes. Static cling holds to whiteboards with no adhesive. For the best hold, make sure your board is clean and dust-free. Dust, dirt, and oil can keep a cling from sticking, and some greasy whiteboard cleaners leave a residue that does the same. If needed, clean your board with a mix of vinegar and water to break down the oil. If a cling loses its grip over time, rinse the back with water and apply it again.

Does it work on non-magnetic boards or glass?

Yes. Reimagines clings were originally designed for non-magnetic whiteboards. My mom didn't have a magnetic whiteboard when I started the business, and her classroom was my inspiration. Clings also hold to glass, windows, and acrylic.

Can I write on it with a dry-erase marker?

Please don't. Markers can remove the printed ink on a cling. Many of our designs are made so you can write underneath or next to them instead.

Will it leave residue on my board?

No. There's no adhesive, so nothing is left behind. Your board is just as clean when you remove the cling as it was when you applied it.

How do I store my clings?

Store it on the backing paper it ships on, so it stays smooth and ready to use again.

Can I get a custom design or color match?

Yes. I design and print every product myself. Email elizabeth@reimagines.com with custom design requests or color matching.

Will it match my mini calendar?

Yes. Choose the same font you picked for your mini calendar, and it prints at the same text size.
